Booster Club Mission Statement

The mission of the Prince of Peace Catholic School Athletic Booster Club is to provide loyal support to the school's DPL athletes with our time, talents, and resources.  We make every effort to operate with open communication, active participation, cooperation, and above all, the Christian values of our Catholic faith.

Because of the generosity of our community, the Booster Club has been successful each year in contributing to the improvement of the school's athletic facilities.  We look forward to the upcoming arrival and installation of lights on the POP Football Field, and to another year of dedicating ourselves to the improvement of the athletic program and facilities at Prince of Peace Catholic School.

Many thanks to Lori Austin, Robin Vierling and Sandy Portner, our roving sports photojournalists, for taking some fantastic pictures of our wonderful Junior Varsity and Varsity Track & Field season. You can view Lori’s, Robin’s and Sandy’s pictures at the Prince of Peace Booster Club Picture web site at:

 http://popbc.smugmug.com/

It is possible for you to right click download the pictures, or you can order any size print or gift directly from SmugMug.  There are literally hundreds of photo’s, so take some time, and relive the moment of the season with your son or daughter.

Thanks again to Lori, Robin and Sandy for capturing these great track moments.

2007 POP Track & Field Season Announcements

The Prince of Peace Varsity Track Team had another banner performance at the 2007 DPL City Championship.  Our girls took first place, the boys took second place and the combined teams won the overall championship.  Each and every athlete performed at their highest level with virtually everyone achieving a personal best.  Prince of Peace had 60 more points than the nearest competitor in the combined results!  It is obvious when you read the roster that these students participate in multiple athletic, artistic and scholarly activities for POP.

For their efforts, Prince of Peace will now retain the rights to two traveling trophies for another year. Many new school records were set during the season and some new DPL records were set as well. But this years most significant accomplishments were not about records, but teamwork and PB’s.
